Marnie Bragg is an established artist based in the Suffolk countryside. Marnie’s background has enabled her to develop skills in fine accurate detailed illustration, using various media, from water colour to pen. However, her alter-ego loves creative abstract and texture. Having built her own eco-home with her Husband, her love of building materials has become an integral part of her pictures, with nothing she won’t use, from concrete to gold-leaf.

After studying at Ipswich Art College and specialising in Graphic Design, Marnie went on to work in publishing, illustrating and designing children’s books. She later moved to an agency where she worked in design and advertising, at one point having her own agency. Her passion however, remains in the creative arts, painting and illustrating commissions.

For the last 8 years, Marnie has been an art teacher for Success After Stroke, a local charity that supports and rehabilitates individuals after they have suffered a stroke. Marnie’s aim within her Art Class is to encourage and inspire her members to find a new love for art, in order to give them back their confidence after experiencing the many hurdles and challenges of life after a stroke.

Some of the artwork produced within the class is then displayed in a well-established Brushstroke Art Exhibition. The purpose of the exhibition is to raise funds for the charity and to showcase the astounding art that members go on to create. Alongside the member’s work, 90 other independent artists also exhibit, including Marnie.

In her free time, Marnie loves gardening and being within nature.

Much of her art is inspired by the organic and earthy component of life.
